Joel Smith
Joel was already an 18-year HVAC professional when he founded Joel Smith Heat and Air Conditioning in 1994, and has done just about everything in the industry over the years. Although recently retired from day-to-day operations at the company, he continues to be involved, providing guidance and consultations.
Curt Smith
Having grown up in the business, Curt started officially at Joel Smith Heating & Air Conditioning in 1998. His decades-long, hands-on experience includes every aspect of the HVAC business, from service, sales, marketing and bookkeeping, to customized system design and installation. He enjoys spending time with his family and dog, hiking, kayaking, hockey and downhill skiing.
Dustin Smith
Dustin joined J Smith HVAC in 2000. As VP of Operations, he also serves as lead installer, lead sheet metal fabricator, as well as installation manager and trainer. You may also find him performing service and maintenance work. Dustin's love of working with his hands is not limited to metalwork; in his spare time, he pursues a passion for woodworking.
Alison Smith
Joel Smith HVAC stays organized thanks to our maverick officer manager, Alison, who sees that day-to-day in-house priorities are taken care of. Alison handles everything from bookkeeping, warranty registrations, scheduling, job permits, and rebate paperwork, to customer service, insurance audits, and tax prep. The icing on the cake is her helpfulness on phone calls; customers comment on how thorough and kind she is in handling their inquiries.
Preston Smith
Preston is the first third-generation Smith family member to join the J Smith HVAC team. As an inquisitive, creative child with an “engineer's mind,” he loved designing and building things. Now, having earned an Associate of Applied Science degree and with hands-on HVAC training since 2019, he spends his time in the field working on installing equipment, ductwork, and air quality components. He looks forward to expanding his education in drafting. When he's not designing or building, he enjoys hockey, volleyball, and archery.
Paige Smith
As our other third-generation family team member, Paige has been assisting with service work, and learning how to install furnaces and air conditioners since 2019. Starting in 2023, she shifted her focus to expand her knowledge of the inner workings of the office. While working part-time, she is completing preparatory courses at Century College in hopes of admittance to their Radiologic Technology program after graduation. In her free time, she is an avid snowboarder and skier and loves listening to music and hanging out with friends.
